5 Seconds of Summer in Mountain View

Flashback to last November? It sure felt like it!

Was super fun seeing the guys from 5 Seconds of Summer again last night in Mountain View. Apart from their new single "She's Kinda Hot" and "Permanent Vacation" the set was the same as the one at the Forum in Los Angeles in November.

The atmosphere was incredible! It felt like everyone was singing along and the Shoreline Amphitheatre was absolutely packed.

Can't wait for the next album. If you haven't already, go check them out live. Really worth it!

(*I was on the waiting list for a photo pass but sadly didn't get it. So I didn't bother taking a lot of pictures which allowed me to simply enjoy the show. And the ones I took pretty much look like the ones from last year. )

I bought the ticket to the show last year in August. I can't believe how fast time is flying right now...

Short Trip To Sacramento

Lee Ann Jaenicke

When I asked around if anyone had been to Sacramento before, most people answered "Yes, I drove through when I came from somewhere else". For most inhabitants of the San Francisco bay area Sacramento is just a pit stop before reaching home and honestly I'm surprised about that!

While I was in Orangevale for the Hollywood Ending concert I decided (like a couple of times before) to turn my trip in a little expedition. To be honest I can't remember the last time I felt that hot due to 40°C/105°F, no clouds and no breeze... Little tip, drinking Rockstar while walking through the heat is not a good idea... Stay with water.

So Friday before the concert I walked around in the historic part of Folsom and Saturday I saved some hours before driving home to explore downtown. Since I've never been to Sacramento before I googled "What's in downtown Sacramento?" and jumped on a train.

It might have been because it was Saturday morning but I can't remember the last time I was in a city that peaceful. Everything was quite and there were not a lot of people around.
I visited the Capitol Park at the California State Capitol Museum and the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.

I spend over an hour just sitting on a bench soaking in the peaceful atmosphere without headphones and music (that's so untypical for me!) and I think I hadn't been that much at peace in a long time.
The trip when short was absolutely worth it.
I guess the fact that I hadn't had a day off in over four weeks just added to the perfect relaxation. Sacramento is definitely worth visiting and I would come back to see some more.

The trip home took me forever to transfer in San Francisco though. Due to Pride that weekend and another successful Giants game there were insanely many people around. When I made it home I was pleased to find out that I took some nice pics of the concert and Sacramento.
What a trip!!

Bebe is such a nice person and I was very honored that she chose me as one of the only two interviews she did that day!

Tatiana DeMaria of TAT

The wonderful Tatiana DeMaria is simply fun to hang out with:

3PM

Since the guys from 3PM didn't performe that day I wasn't able to get a picture. But I had a fun time talking to the guys so here is the interview.

Silverstein

For Silverstein I did the photo coverage but the interview was performed by my friend. For more pictures check out the interview link!

Warped Tour - part 4 - Set It Off & Hands Like Houses

To be honest Set It Off and Hands Like Houses were not on my agenda that day. But the performances were awesome and I had a good spot to take some nice shots. And isn't that what Warped Tour is about? Discovering new music and artists.
