Since I was down there for the Vans Warped Tour, me and two of my friends who were about to fly back home to Europe decided to extend our trip and also visit San Diego, La Jolla Cove and Los Angeles.
But our visit of La Jolla Cove turned out very nice. The weather was slightly overcast which was actually really nice for our horribly burned skin!
So my trip started shortly after two crazy double-double shifts at the airport at 5am with only 3 hours of sleep. We flew down to San Diego on the day of the festival. So we were relying on no delays and no cancellations. (Coming from the field of aviation - not very thought through but as usually we were in luck)
After six hours in the burning sun (by then my two friends had already abandoned me to wait alone three hours for Pierce The Veil - can't blame them though) I was running on fumes.
But to my own surprise I was still able to change and hit the Gaslamp District with them.
The next day we picked up our rental car and left for La Jolla Cove. By that time all of us were in pain everytime the sun touched our exposed skin. Luckily it was overcast and not too warm so we were okay to wear long sleeves etc.
La Jolla Cove
Bottom line: La Jolla Cove is worth a visit!
Even though Los Angeles was a slight bust for us, it was nice to hang out there again. Since I've been to L.A. three times within less than a year, Hollywood Boulevard feels so familar that I actually manage to get around without map!
And our place actually captured some tranquility I didn't expect so close to the Walk Of Fame.
